Epic Games' wildly popular battle royale title, Fortnite, has finally gotten a beta release on Android beginning August 9; however, this will initially be exclusive to Samsung devices.
Fortnite beta invites will be sent first to Samsung device owners, and it can only be downloaded on Samsung Galaxy S7 phones and above, which means the S7, S7 Edge, S8, S8 Plus, Note 8, S9, and S9 Plus.
Downloading (or “sideloading” to use the correct parlance) is straightforward, though with a 1.9gb file size)
Epic will start rolling out beta access to players on other Android devices over the next few days. Players that are interested can sign up.
Fortnite will be available for direct download via Fortnite.com. Fortnite will not be available through the Google Play Store.
Players will be granted access in waves to Fortnite Battle Royale, and will be sent instructions on how to download and play!

- 64-bit Android 5.0 Lollipop or more recent
- 3 GB free storage space
- 3 GB RAM minimum
